Os jogadores do Corinthians não gostaram das reclamações do Palmeiras, que pediu impugnação do jogo decisivo da final do Paulistão por alegar ter havido interferência externa para o árbitro Marcelo Aparecido Ribeiro de Souza voltar atrás na marcação do pênalti. No primeiro jogo ganhamos de 2 a 0 e falaram que foi roubado – disse Renê Júnior, lembrando a polêmica expulsão de Jailson no Dérbi da fase de grupos e mostrando que ainda tem a cicatriz na coxa esquerda por conta do choque com o goleiro rival.

– É uma coisa totalmente desnecessária, até porque o quarto árbitro estava do nosso lado e falou “bola” na hora do lance. Então, ele já estava com a opinião e apenas ajudou o árbitro número um tomar a decisão. Foi uma decisão certa da arbitragem, ele se equivocou em marcar o pênalti e depois voltou atrás. O jogo teve 180 minutos, foi bem jogado, brigado pelo tamanho que é, e são coisas que acontecem em uma decisão. Mas acho que pedir a impugnação do jogo, tirando o mérito do nosso título, é totalmente vergonhoso – afirmou Gabriel.

– Esse mimimi sempre vai acontecer. Eles perderam, é difícil aceitar a derrota. Quer dizer que se eles fizessem o gol no pênalti que todo mundo viu que não aconteceu o campeonato iria ser manchado por causa disso? A posição do juiz foi correta, mesmo com a demora eles acertaram – opinou Mateus Vital.

Big PictureThe wicket in Hamilton for the opening Test didn’t warrant a three-day match, but New Zealand made it one with their hapless batting in the second innings. The temporary relief provided by a Twenty20 series win, also marking an encouraging start to John Wright’s tenure as coach, was sullied by a spineless capitulation on a flattish pitch at Seddon Park. In what are expected to be tougher batting conditions in Wellington, with more swing and movement on offer for the fast bowlers, and where New Zealand were beaten by Pakistan early last year, an urgent recovery is the need of the hour for the hosts. The focus remains on the top order: Tim McIntosh is struggling and could well be replaced, Martin Guptill was given a torrid time by the left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman and the question remains of whether Brendon McCullum will shed some of his aggression in more testing conditions.As for Pakistan, this is an opportunity to win their first Test series in 11 attempts since 2006. And it would be a memorable one, for their inexperienced players have played a hand in setting it up. Rehman starred in an all-round performance, Asad Shafiq was part of what was, in the end, a match-winning stand, Adnan Akmal showed ability down the order, while Wahab Riaz and Tanvir Ahmed shone with the ball in each innings. أعلن نادي فولهام، وفاة جورج كوهين الظهير الأيمن لمنتخب إنجلترا الفائز بكأس العالم عام 1966 عن عمر 83 عامًا.

لعب كوهين كل مباريات منتخب إنجلترا في بطولة كأس العالم 1966 والوحيدة للإنجليز في تاريخهم، ضمن 37 مباراة دولية مع الأسود الثلاثة.

نادي فولهام كتب عبر موقعه الرسمي على الإنترنت: “يشعر الجميع في نادي فولهام بحزن عميق عندما علموا بوفاة أحد أعظم لاعبينا جورج كوهين”.

جورج كوهين كان لاعبًا في نادٍ واحد طوال مسيرته وهو فولهام، وخاص 459 مباراة بين عامي 1956 و1969، ولكن إصابته في الركبة أدت إلى نهاية مسيرته الكروية مبكرًا عند عمر الـ29 عامًا.

كوهين له تمثال في استاد نادي فولهام، كرافين كوتيدج، جاء ذلك بعد أن أصبح جورج ناشطًا في جمع التبرعات لمرضى السرطان الذي أودى بحياة زميله السابق في إنجلترا بوبي مور عام 1966.

Stokes, who had previously only taken 11 first class wickets and is better known for his batting, finished the day with figures of 3 for 59 with hismedium pace.Durham began the second day at 413 for 6 and added a further 60 runs in 14 overs to finish with an impressive total of 473. Hampshire’s new South African signing Friedel de Wet dismissed Scott Borthwick to a catch at the wicket and Liam Plunkett and Callum Thorp also edged to NicPothas but Hampshire were held up by an obdurate last wicket stand of 33 between Durham captain Phil Mustard and last man Steve Harmison.Harmison was the last to go, leg before to spinner Danny Briggs – and it proved to be a costly dismissal. Delhi Daredevils used the depth of their revamped batting order to complete a thrilling chase at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, securing their maiden victory after two losses, and handing Pune Warriors their first defeat in the 2011 IPL. Delhi’s team effort upstaged a terrific all-round performance from Yuvraj Singh, whose half-century had powered Pune to 187 before his four-wicket haul was the difference between Delhi winning at a canter and having to sweat until the final over.Teams have had trouble defending targets in excess of 180 in this tournament but Pune were on course to do so, with Delhi needing 41 runs off the last three overs with five wickets in hand. Yuvraj had tripped his opponents’ progress by dismissing Irfan Pathan and Naman Ojha off successive deliveries in the 13th over. Delhi, however, had kept a couple of their power-hitters back and Aaron Finch and Venugopal Rao matched the demanding asking-rate.The over that won the game for Delhi was the 18th, bowled by Shrikant Wagh, off which they scored 20, slashing the equation to 21 needed off 12. يذكر أن مباريات ربع النهائي لأندية غرب القارة ستقام يوم 23 فبراير، بينما يُقام الدور نصف النهائي يوم 26 فبراير.

وكان الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم قد أعلن عن مشاركة الهلال السعودي في النسخة المقبلة من كأس العالم للأندية التي تنطلق في المغرب خلال فبراير 2023 المقبل بسبب عدم استكمال نسخة 2022 من دوري أبطال آسيا.
