أعلن نادي إنتر ميلان الإيطالي، إصابة لاعبه دانييلي باديلي، بـ فيروس كورونا، قبل مواجهة أتالانتا، ضمن الجولة السابعة من الكالشيو.

وأكد النادي عبر موقعه الرسمي، أن نتيجة دانييلي جاءت إيجابية لـ فيروس كورونا – كوفيد 19، في المسحة التي قام بها الفريق قبل مواجهة أتالانتا بعد ظهر غدًا الأحد.

دانيلي باديلي حارس مرمى إنتر ميلان البديل، لم تظهر عليه أي أعراض تمامًا، لكنه سيتبع الآن الإجراءات المنصوص عليها في بروتوكول الصحة الإيطالي.

League One’s fascinating race for automatic promotion saw yet another dramatic twist occur on Saturday which would have delighted Barnsley’s supporters.

With fellow top-two contenders Sunderland and Portsmouth facing each other, the Tykes knew that by securing a victory over Blackpool at Oakwell, they would be able to gain on at least one of their rivals.

However, after making a slow start to proceedings, Daniel Stendel’s side fell behind as Tangerines midfielder Harry Pritchard saw his deflected effort wrong foot Adam Davies. Having overcome the shock of conceding, Barnsley levelled just before half-time as Cauley Woodrow fired in his 16th goal of the season.

Despite dominating vast sways of possession, the Tykes had to wait until the 60th minute to land the all-important killer blow as Liam Lindsay headed home from a corner to clinch a fourth consecutive victory in the third tier.

In what turned out to be a perfect weekend for the Yorkshire-based outfit, Pompey’s draw with the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light saw the gap between second and third extend to four points.

Although it cannot be understated how important these results are for the club’s hopes of securing automatic promotion, the fact that Luton Town lost again means that Barnsley should now be focusing on winning the League One title in May.

Now level on points with the Hatters, the Tykes can usurp Mick Harford’s side if they better their result next Saturday. Whereas Barnsley will be full of confidence heading into their clash at Bristol Rovers, Luton will have to overcome an Oxford United side who have been experiencing somewhat of a renaissance under Karl Robinson in recent months.

If they finish first in May, Stendel’s men will end a 64-year wait for a third tier triumph having last been victorious at this particular level in 1955.

Cheerio: Isaac Hayden sees his future away from Newcastle United and is determined to leave in the summer

This is not the first time Hayden has tried to force a move away from the club, but it will most likely be his last after warning there are no excuses not to sell him.

“Nothing has changed. It’s not what is best for me or my family to be playing here next season and to be doing the travelling I have done this season. It’s unfortunate but the club know my stance and have known it for a year now. There is no excuses going into the summer. It’s about getting the deal right for the club and for myself,” he said to the Telegraph.

Just last August the former Arsenal man was kicking up a fuss about his future at St. James’ Park citing family reasons as the motivation behind wanting a transfer.

Apparently, that was not a sufficient enough reason for Newcastle boss, Rafa Benitez, who refused to sanction Hayden’s move because there was not enough time left in the window to find a suitable replacement, much to the player’s frustration.

The situation was not helped by the fact that he could not sneak in any game time at the start of the season, spending the opening few months warming the bench while Mo Diame, Jonjo Shelvey and Ki were all preferred.

Fast forward to now, however, and Hayden is a vital part of the squad. The 24-year-old has ended this season on a high as Benitez’s first choice centre midfielder on their road to safety and there will be plenty of interest from Premier League results because of it.

Result for both parties, would you agree?

Although Hayden will be missed next season, Newcastle are set to make a mammoth profit on the £2.6million they initially spent on him from Arsenal in 2016. If reports are correct, they are unlikely to accept bids of less than £15milion and could even hold out for £20million – depending on the market.

Pretty decent work from the Spaniard (as ever), bringing Hayden back into the squad and creating a system in which he flourishes, bumping his stock up. The sort of money being talked about would be yet more stunning work from Benitez on Tyneside.

Who knows, Mike Ashley might even decide to reinvest the money. Fingers crossed.

وفي غياب الشراسة الهجومية لـ مانشستر سيتي في مواجهة ليفربول أمس، حلل روي كين الوضع، منتقدًا سيرجيو أجويرو بسبب زيادة وزنه.

وأضاف في تصريحات خلال تواجده بقناة “سكاي” البريطانية: “مشكلتي مع أجويرو هي أنه عندما عاد في بداية الموسم كان يعاني من زيادة كبيرة في الوزن”.

وأكمل ساخرًا: “الله وحده يعلم حجم السروال الذي يرتديه أجويرو، تشعر وأنه لاعب ثقيل جدًا”.

It wasn’t to be for Leeds United this season as their promotion dreams were dashed against Derby on Wednesday night, but one thing supporters can take solace in is the fact that they will be able to have another crack at it next year with pretty much the same group of players.

All stepped up

This exceptional season for the Whites featured a squad filled mainly with the same personnel who finished 13th last campaign.

Every single man in the side stepped up their game upon the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa, and his style of play brought the best out of players who had previously struggled in the Championship.

The likes of Mateusz Klich, Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper are now considered some of the best players in the division, and that’s down to the Argentine.

Won’t be interest

Because it’s so evident that the manager’s influence has caused these brilliant performances there won’t be much Premier League interest for many of the Leeds squad.

Other than Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez and perhaps Kemar Roofe, there hasn’t been a number of incredible standout individuals. Instead, everybody’s performance level was raised as a part of a cohesive unit that Bielsa has brought to Elland Road.

Phillips may move on to bigger and better things this summer as Roofe could attract some top-flight interest, but the club’s Player of the Year should be staying put due to his age.

Hernandez is now 34 and probably doesn’t have another big move in him, whereas the likes of Bournemouth and Southampton have already courted Phillips.

Although Leeds have looked excellent this season, Premier League sides will look to steer clear of many of their personnel due to their track records at other clubs before the Argentine managed them.

Championship outfits may well be interested, but it’s hard to believe that anyone will want to leave Elland Road with the project that Bielsa has started to build at the Yorkshire club.

كشفت صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية، عن الوجهة الاقرب لـ الدولي المجري، دومينيك سوبوسلاي، صانع ألعاب فريق ريد بول سالزبورج النمساوي، بعدما ارتبط بإمكانية الانتقال لصفوف ريال مدريد، في نافذة الانتقالات الصيفية.

تقارير صحيفة، ذكرت أمس الجمعة، أنّ ريال مدريد وآرسنال وميلان ولايبزيج، يُراقبون النجم المجري (طلع المزيد من التفاصيل).

وأوضحت الصحيفة أنّ بالنظر للحساب الرسمي للاعب صاحب الـ”20″ عامًا، على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “إنستجرام”، فتبين أنّ سوبوسلاي لا يتابع إلا فريقان وهما ريد بول سالزبورج وريال مدريد.

كما تبين من حساب سوبوسلاي، أنه يقوم بمُتابعة لاعبين من ريال مدريد، مثل كريم بنزيما، والبرازيلي فينيسيوس جونيور.

“آس” بذلك أشارت إلى أنّ سوبوسلاي يُفضل الانتقال لصفوف ريال مدريد، وخاصًة أنّ صانع الألعاب المجري، لم يكن يُتابع ريال مدريد، قبل خروج التقارير الصحفية التي ذكرت أنّ الملكي يريد التعاقد معه في الصيف القادم.

يُذكر أنّ سوبوسلاي هذا الموسم خاض 13 مباراة مع سالزبورج، وسجّل خمسة أهداف، وقدم تسعة تمريرات حاسمة.

Speaking to Football Insider, Noel Whelan has questioned whether or not Leeds can afford to keep Marcelo Bielsa next season.

There has been rampant speculation about the Leeds boss’ future since the Whites’ loss to Derby County last week.

Many fans and pundits believed that he would walk away from Elland Road, but the BBC pundit believed it may come down to his former club’s financial state.

What’s been said then?

The former striker questioned the Whites’ financial power when discussing the prospect of Bielsa leaving.

“It’s the million dollar question,” Whelan told Football Insider. “I know they’re holding talks and that will have a massive effect on so many things, including transfers and which players stay or go.

“The fans love the manager, he has integrity and has done a brilliant job with the same players that fell flat on their faces last season. What he has done is remarkable.

“The club have to do everything to keep hold of him. It depends what has been arranged Andrea Radrizzani and Mr Bielsa in terms of his contract. I know he is on a lot of money. Can they afford to keep him?”

Must break the bank

Radrizzani must do everything in his power to prove Whelan’s doubts wrong. Bielsa is reportedly on £4 million a year, this is a huge wage for the Championship, but he is absolutely worth it.

If the Whites allow the former Marseille man to slip through their fingers due to his wage demands they will live to regret it for years, especially if the funds are there.

The Yorkshire club have been linked to a plethora of transfer targets this window, and their spending this summer will most likely be higher than the sum of Bielsa’s salary, but there is no signing that could make up for the gap left by the Argentine if the Whites fail to retain his services.

Leeds’ return to the Premier League doesn’t hinge on signing a new striker or a better defender. Bielsa showed what he can do with an average squad last year, and if they let him go the Yorkshire club could very quickly fall back into mid-table mediocrity.

صدارة السنغال للمجموعة التاسعة جاءت بعد فوزه في أربعة مباريات من 4 مباريات خاضهم، أمام إسواتيني والكونغو وغينيا بيساو (بواقع مباراتين).

المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب سام نوجوما بناميبيا، فاز بها الضيوف بنتيجة 2-1 ليحصد النقطة العاشرة.

تأهل منتخب مالي للبطولة لم يحسم حتى الآن إذا كان كمتصدر للمجموعة أو كوصيف، إذ يلاحقه منتخب غينيا في الوصافة برصيد 8 نقاط، ويحل منتخب ناميبيا في المركز الثالث برصيد 3 نقاط.

وأخيرًا، حسم المنتخب التونسي بطاقة صعوده إلى نهائيات كأس الأمم رسميًا بتعادله مع تنزانيا مساء اليوم بهدف لكل فريق.

In the same way that Dubai has emerged from the sands of the desert, Manchester City have risen from the cold, wet muddy grounds of Manchester to become a footballing powerhouse.

As they say, you can’t make a cake without breaking a few eggs, and boy oh boy, have a few shells been smashed by the Blues along the way.

Indeed, while Pep Guardiola has introduced some pragmatism to City’s transfer policy, which has benefited the club no end, those who came before him seemed to adopt a more, shall we say, frivolous approach.

High off their newly found riches, the likes of Mark Hughes, Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini all splashed the cash on some questionable signings who, quite frankly, didn’t possess enough ability to lace the boots of half of the current City squad, never mind play alongside them.

Take Javi Garcia, for example. It cost City £16million to recruit this lummox from Benfica in 2012, and for what exactly? The world’s most expensive sleeping aid?

Honestly, what can we say about him? Should we start with his manoeuvrability? The Spaniard shifted at a rate that made the tectonic plates look like they’re travelling at light speed. He turned like a canal barge docked on sand and had the agility of man made entirely of cardboard trying to do an assault course. Picture it.

Then there was his general play. Garcia really didn’t bring much to the team – not least at the dynamic level we have come to expect of Manchester City nowadays. The Spaniard sort of just stood on the pitch and let things pass him by without contributing so much as a single positive ball forwards. It was boring to watch him, it really was. Especially on the comedown from the previous campaign. It just felt like the club were going backwards.

Though Garcia did feature a little more in his second season in Manchester under the guidance of Pellegrini, his one-dimensional, unfashionable style of play did little to win over the love of fans and, ultimately, the man in charge, whose preference for Yaya Toure and Fernandinho eventually squeezed him out of the club.
