أعلنت لجنة المسابقات بالاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم اليوم الاثنين رسميًا، عن موعد انتهاء الدوري المصري الممتاز ومواعيد مباريات الجولة الأخيرة من المسابقة.

وكانت بطولة الدوري قد انتهى منها 33 جولة، حسم خلالها لقب بطل الدوري لصالح الأهلي، كما تحدد الفرق الهابطة للدرجة الثانية، وهم طنطا ونادي مصر، وحرس الحدود.

وحدد اتحاد الكرة أيام 29 و30 و31 أكتوبر الحالي، موعدًا لإقامة الجولة الأخيرة من مسابقة الدوري الممتاز وانتهاء موسم 19-2020.

يذكر أن الجولة الأخيرة للدوري تشهد لقاءات ساخنة، مثل بيراميدز مع المقاولون العرب، طلائع الجيش أمام الأهلي، سموحة مع إف سي مصر، الإنتاج الحربي ضد مصر للمقاصة، أسوان مع الاتحاد السكندري، الزمالك أمام الإسماعيلي، الجونة مع حرس الحدود، والمصري ضد وادي دجلة.

ويتنافس فريقي الزمالك وبيراميدز على المركز الثاني بجدول ترتيب الدوري، من أجل حجز مكان بجوار الأهلي في النسخة المقبلة من بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

يذكر أن الأهلي حقق لقب الدوري العام عن الموسم الحالي للمرة الـ42 في تاريخه والخامسة على التوالي.

Should I stay or should I go?

That’s a question Rafa Benitez must be heavily pondering about right now after watching his Newcastle United side fall to back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

The Spaniard’s done everything he can to save the Magpies from relegation and take them as far as possible. In order to extend his stay as their manager, he’s outlined some financial demands (quotes sourced by the Daily Express last week) to Mike Ashley for the summer transfer window.

Clearly, this is a story with so much still left in it but, as a Toon fan reading this, are you confident in the Sports Direct mogul? Probably not.

While Benitez’s departure would be truly gutting, sudden rumours of a club takeover can change it. Indeed, according to Dave Kitson (yes, we know) speaking on talkSPORT via the Chronicle, there are talks going on about Ashley selling the club before the end of the season. Apparently (well in Kitson’s world), the deal is close to being finalized and new owners can usher into St. James Park as soon as next month.

This would be news which will definitely gain Benitez’s attention. While Ashley might not curb to his demands, new ambitious owners should allow a squad overhaul, as unlikely as the claims might currently be. With new owners comes a flow of big money in the summer, which can allow the Spaniard to sign some big players to get the Magpies firing on all cylinders.

Perhaps it’s all a publicity stunt. We’ve certainly been here before with Team Ashley but even the mere talk of it surely makes any decision on his future a difficult personal one for Benitez. It’s the hope that kills you, after all.

If any owners are ambitious enough, they’ll definitely work alongside Benitez and allow him to make the team according to his vision. Benitez will definitely relish life at Newcastle if given complete authority over how to run things. Indeed, Tyneside would be such a buzzing hotbed of football again, surely even neutral supporters would want to see it happen.

If his demands are met, Newcastle fans can surely expect their world-class manager to remain for a long time.

وأضاف: “لا أعرف ما سيحدث غدًا، لكنني مستعد لأبذل قصارى جهدي، علينا أن نتحرك بسرعة، وأن نكون مركزين، نحن على الطريق الصحيح، وأتمنى أن نظل هكذا”.

وأردف: “أي فريق يفتقد كريستيانو رونالدو، لكننا نثق بكل اللاعبين لدينا، نمتلك عددا كبيرا من الأشخاص الذين يريدون تقديم أفضل أداء ومساعدة الفريق”.

Leicester are hoping to add Hull winger Jarrod Bowen to their ranks this summer, according to The Sun (16/04, page 59), with Brendan Rodgers looking to bolster his attack.

What’s the word?

Bowen has been in absolutely sensational goalscoring form for Hull this season, notching 21 goals, so it’s hardly a surprise to see him attracting Premier League interest.

Leicester aren’t the only top-flight side keeping tabs on the player however, with Spurs and Everton also thought to be sniffing around.

He could cost a fair amount though, with The Sun’s report claiming it would take £15m to prise him away from the Tigers. Transfermarkt currently values the player at £7.2m.

Rodgers appears very keen to add to his attacking options, as the club have also shown an interest in Daniel Sturridge according to The Sun.

Bowen’s contract with Hull ends in 2020, so the club could be looking to cash in on him this summer.

Mahrez replacement on the cards

Ever since Riyad Mahrez departed Leicester last summer they’ve lacked goals from wide areas but Bowen could be the man to finally replace him.

Rachid Ghezzal was thought to be the one capable of succeeding the now Manchester City star, but his time at the King Power has been full of inconsistency.

He possesses similar traits but given Bowen’s prowess in front of goal, the Englishman seems a more natural replacement.

Mahrez was famed for cutting inside and driving at the defenders and those same traits is something that the 22-year-old has terrorised Championship defences with this term. As a result, he would be the perfect successor to the Algerian.

Leicester’s main providers of goals this season have been Jamie Vardy and James Maddison but by signing Bowen the pressure on their shoulders would be released.

Bowen has the potential to be a fantastic signing and would be another fine Championship acquisition after Maddison arrived from Norwich last summer.

وأضاف: “آمل أن تستمر في فعل ما يفعله، إنه صبي لديه أشياء كثيرة ستتحسن مع الوقت، ويلعب لأحد أفضل أندية أوروبا”.

وأكمل: “سيواصل النمو مع الوقت، يسعدنا أنه ترك ريسينج ويلعب في فريقي السابق إنتر ميلان، ويُمثل منتخب الأرجنتين، لا شك سيكون أحد أفضل المهاجمين في العالم مع الوقت”.

دييجو ميليتو أكد أنه كان قريبًا من برشلونة قبل الانتقال إلى إنتر ميلان، وقال: “إنه لشرف كبير أن ألعب مع ليونيل ميسي، كنت محظوظًا لمشاركته بعض اللحظات في المنتخب الوطني”.

وواصل: “كان شرفًا لي أن أتدرب وألعب معه وأراه في التدريبات، واحد من الأفضل في التاريخ”.

Fernando Llorente led the line for Tottenham Hotspur in Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Llorente scored the goal which ultimately saw Spurs book their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City.

However, the club’s supporters were still not very pleased with the Spaniard during and after Tuesday’s game with Brighton.

It was a tough night for Llorente – a 2017 arrival from Swansea City – as he was up against two central defenders who are very, very strong in the air.

Some may have claimed that Spurs are actually better off without Harry Kane given their results and performances when he has been out of action in 2019.

Llorente struggled to make his mark against the Seagulls, though, and there was also a rare appearance off the bench for a certain Vincent Janssen.

It seems likely that Llorente will be leaving Tottenham on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires, and the latest messages from the fans suggests that not too many will be bothered.

Moussa Sissoko could be fit to play for Tottenham Hotspur against Ajax in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, per the club’s official website, to the delight of the club’s fans.

The France international has been integral to the hopes of Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, having been transformed under the Argentine’s management.

Sissoko has played 39 times in all competitions but sustained a groin injury in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Manchester City.

He subsequently missed the Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion as well as the defeat to West Ham United on Saturday.

But he will be assessed ahead of the clash with the Dutch giants and could be involved as Mauricio Pochettino’s side look to reach their first European final of the modern era.

And fans believe he has an integral role to play as Spurs look to achieve history against Ajax over two legs.
